The first dog I ever really remember is a dog my parents got from the dog pound at Ft. Benning, GA. He was a purebred Border Collie. We called him Fluff...I don't really know why because Fluff was not a puppy, while Fluff is definately a puppy name!
Fluff was full grown when we got him. He was a beautiful black and white and did have lots of fluffy hair around his neck. The Border Collie is a very intelligent, active dog and Fluff fit right in to our life. We lived on what my parents called their Mini-Ranch, which consisted of about 5 acres of property with a few cows, horses and an occassional goat. Fluff was the canine king of the ranch.
My dad would cut hay with a local farmer and would take Fluff with him. That dog loved to ride in the truck! He loved to ride on the trailer! Fluff would climb the hay bales to the top (and they stacked those things HIGH) and he would ride perched atop the hay with his hair blowing in the wind, tongue hanging out, almost eating the wind!
Next post will be the introduction of Fluffs mate.

Welcome
Welcome to My-Life-In-Dogs. This blog is dedicated to those wonderful canine friends I have had throughout my life. I welcome your input, welcome you to tell about your special pals!
Dogs are so amazing. They are unconditional friends. They don't care if you don't wear the best clothes, aren't smart, pretty, strong, or any of the myriad of other qualifications that people put on each other. If you need to laugh - your dog is happy. If you need to cry, your best friend will lick your tears away. If you need someone to talk to, you dog will listen. Of course he can't give advice, but sometimes just having someone to listen can help you find answers.
I am plan to tell about the many dogs that have been my companion over my life. Some have been more memorible than others. Some made lasting impacts, some were simply pets who walked with me for a short while.
Share with me the stories of your favorite canine friend as well.
